What is IVR?

Interactive voice response (IVR) is a technology that allows a computer to interact with humans through the use of voice and DTMF tones input via keypad.

The cost of an IVR transaction from a land line includes call setup costs etc, as premium IVR was designed for land lines.
From mobile network phones it is often exclusive of call setup costs etc, depending on the carrier.

Users of the IVR service on mobile phones may be charged slightly more than the IVR charge specified, depending upon the mobile carrier involved.
