Approval Process

The same applies to both shared codes and dedicated codes, see forum entry Russia - Premium SMS Regulations for more information. There is no formal carrier approval process required for you to operate on our shared Russian lines, unlike when applying for a Russian dedicated code. We rarely see audits to ensure that your service is functioning as expected, and so long as there are no end-user complaints, to date we receive little regulatory pressure. As part of txtNation's commitment to maintain a high standard of compliance, you will have to submit your promotions to txtNation for approval before putting live.

Promotion Guidelines

The same approval process applies to both shared codes and dedicated codes, see forum entry Russia - Premium SMS Regulations for more information.

Opt-in Process

We operate only Mobile Originated (MO) billing on our shared lines in Russia, so an MO is required from the users to bill them (SMS-O or WO-RAR)

Shortcode and Keyword Structure

Our shared codes operate on a shortcode in the 4XXX or 6XXX series, which are all ages shortcodes. The full short code is provided on application.

When operating on a shared code keywords must be in native language and characters, however the English translation of that keyword is normally assigned also, but you must advertise the Russian.

Dedicated Codes

Dedicated codes are available with a 3 - 6 month lead time on carrier acceptance of your application. The carriers approve based on their backlog, the time of year, price point and service type.
