Denmark - Shared Shortcode Requirements and Restrictions

Follow

Regulator

The same applies to both shared codes and dedicated codes, see forum entry Denmark - Premium SMS, Short Code Regulations for more information regarding Promotional Guidelines.

Carriers

With the exception of Tre (network Three)*, the same applies to both shared codes and dedicated codes, see forum entry Denmark - Premium SMS, Short Code Regulations for more information regarding Promotional Guidelines.

*Tre are network 3. We are not covering this network for the moment on our shared codes. Currently they hold 1.6% of the market share in Denmark but have the highest commercial costs to connect to. We deemed this not in the interests of offering clients the best proposition in DK for time being. Please speak to your account manager for costs if you are interested in applying for Tre on a dedicated code.

Approval Process

The same applies to both shared codes and dedicated codes, see forum entry Denmark - Premium SMS, Short Code Regulations. Other than a subscription service (see Service Types), there is no formal carrier or regulator approval process to run on our shared lines in Denmark, e.g. we dont have to apply to the carriers or the regulator to get you permission to go live. txtNation will however check your service when you submit your service description as part of the account setup procedure.
