How do I get setup and provisioned for Direct Carrier Billing in the USA?

We have the ability in the USA (using a Carrier approved payment window) for 'Websites only' to provide WOI flow (web opt-in)* using Direct Operator Biling across all 4 major carriers (see Carrier list below).

*With WOI - the PIN is entered back into the payment window / page as a means to identify and confirm the billing.

txtNation also provide Premium SMS Short codes in the USA.

Approval Process for Direct Carrier Billing

To enable this billing type all clients and merchants must fill out a Service Approval Form for Direct Carrier Billing in the USA.

Approval time is 4- 6 weeks, providing the application and website is allowed.

  • Excluded services for DCB in the USA are: In-App Billing, Offline Billing.
  • Approved services for DCB in the USA are: Website billing (e.g. memberships on site, virtual items).

 

Volumes

Unlike Premium SMS, Minimum volumes are required before enabling Direct Carrier Billing and a working website with clear volume paths showing revenues.

 

Price Points:

You can bill from $0.25 to $24.99 (available on approval).

  • Verizon
  • AT&T
  • T-Mobile
  • Sprint

Branding:

You must use our payment window for all Direct Carrier Billing in the USA.

This payment window is enabled on approved merchants only. You cannot use other payment window of flow as this is carrier approved.
