How to set up 'MSISDN' Capture if user on Wifi or Mobile Network, 'following first purchase':

 

If user visits on 'Wifi':

  1. Set a cookie after user has entered MSISDN on Wifi.
  2. On next user visit, MSISDN is pre-populated; user does not have to enter MSISDN (as previously captured via Cookie).

 

If user visits on 'Mobile Network':

  1. Set a cookie after user has entered MSISDN from Mobile Network.*
  2. On next user visit, MSISDN is pre-populated; user does not have to enter MSISDN (as previously captured via Cookie).

 

* May have been captured if MSISDN / Header Enrichment already present / available in that market / network.

 

Example:

First Payment:

i.e. Storing Cookie for next payment.

Note: If Network has MSISDN forwarding available then mobile number may not display on page, it will just detect and present BUY button.

 

 

About Cookies:

Websites typically use session cookies to ensure that you are recognised when you move from page to page within one site and that any information you have entered is remembered. This of course assumes the end user accesses the page in the same browser, on the same device.
