Using a Lower Tariff When Receiving “Credit Error”

When operating in MT billed countries you may experience "Credit Error" related delivery reports. This means your user has insufficient funds to complete the transaction. A common mistake made here is to re-try at the same price point resulting in the same failure for each billing attempt.


If you have flexible price points and the regulator in that region supports it, you should build a tariff drop into your billing logic. Where available your system will automatically retry the billing on a lower tariff.
